SAINT PAUL, MN (June 30, 2017) – The Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce (SPACC) is pleased to announce that Brenda Kyle has been selected as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Brenda, or “B”, as she is known to most in St. Paul, will be coming to SPACC after a distinguished career in business and real estate project development, most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategic Development at the Saint Paul Port Authority. B’s start date will be August 1st. B has spent the last 11 years at the Saint Paul Port Authority, working primarily in business development and driving many of projects that have made a major impact on St. Paul, including the Port Authority's Pelham, Chatsworth and Beacon Bluff Business Centers, CHS Field, the Saint Paul Police Safety Training Facility, and the soon-to-open Tria Rink at Treasure Island Center. Before that, she worked in the financial services industry and in sales. She started her career as an officer in the U.S. Army. B holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of Saint Benedict, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. “I am extremely happy to introduce B as the new President of the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce. Through the interview process, the Search Committee and the Executive Board got to know B extremely well. We all are impressed with what she brings to the table as a business leader in St. Paul, and we are confident she has the qualities we need to take the Saint Paul Area Chamber to the next level,” said Jeff Pellegrom, 2017 Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “We realized early in the process that the Chamber President needed to be extremely nimble, with experience and demonstrated excellence in areas like Strategic Planning, Leadership, Business Development, and Staff Development. We also knew it would be a huge bonus if they knew St. Paul and St. Paul knew them. B was the unique candidate with all these attributes.” “I am very excited to be joining the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Kyle. “SPACC is the leading business membership-based organization in the Twin Cities for building a vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous community through business leadership. I look forward to the continued work of translating that vision into reality.” The Chamber would like to thank Ballinger | Leafblad for conducting the search to identify B Kyle as the President. We would also like to thank the entire staff of the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce for their excellent work keeping the mission of the Chamber going, and in particular Mindee Kastelic, who has done a fantastic job serving as the interim President during the search process.
