TreeHouse has been serving teens since 1979, helping them build relationships and resiliency rooted in living hope. We’re based in Minnesota, but we have sites across the country. Each of our sites host programs that give teens a safe space to find support and belonging. Established in 1949, the Minneapolis and St. Paul chapters of Junior Achievement merged in 1982 to create Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, Inc. We have broadened our reach and now serves greater Minnesota, North Dakota and western Wisconsin. Our headquarters and capstone facility are located in St. Paul, Minnesota. Junior Achievement programs are taught in more than 700 schools throughout our region. Each year more than 10,000 volunteers enter local schools to teach our innovative Junior Achievement programs. Through age-appropriate curricula, Junior Achievement programs begin in kindergarten, teaching children how they can impact the world around them as individuals, workers and consumers. Junior Achievement programs continue through the middle and high school grades, preparing students for their future and teaching them how to succeed in the global economy.
PIPCLT aims to (re)develop and preserve long-term affordable commercial spaces through community driven ownership of land. We envision neighborhoods as reflections of the economic, cultural and social life of its people. Places that anchor, hold, sustain and nurture the health and wealth of a community. Neighborhoods where local BIPOC businesses can grow and thrive, residents claim space through decision-making power and ownership of land, and together are building a vibrant human-centered economy.
